Among a dense citrus grove lies the rural dwelling of the GUARNERA Farm Holiday, from where our guests can enjoy beautiful sea views beyond the green of the countryside. We are 60 km away from Palermo, 15 km from Cefalů and the beach can be reached in just ten minutes drive. |

Lemon and orange trees that scent the air with their continuous blossoming surround the house, as well as olive, banana and almond trees. Together with the colours of the geraniums and the jasmines this environment is particularly representative of the Sicilian coastal countryside, creating a frame for the deep blue sea in the distance. |

The house is a lively example of 19th century rural architecture and it has been recently refurbished to offer all the amenities of modern comfort, maintaining at the same time its original character. |

The windows with their gratings and the small terraces face the valley towards the sea on one side, and the hills with silvery olive trees and golden orange and lemon trees on the other. |

Indoors the house is simply and soberly furnished, retaining much of its original furniture. The old fireplaces, the wood oven and the ceramic floors create altogether a very cosy atmosphere. The dwelling has central heating and is therefore open all year round and, thanks to a very large meeting room, is also suitable for small groups conferences. |

The
Farm Holiday Guarnera can sleep
up to 14 people.
All the rooms are very large and can accommodate up to 3-4 persons
each. All the rooms have private bathrooms and independent entrances. |

| The 9 hectares (about 22 acres) agricultural estate is organically farmed and includes also an orchard and a kitchen garden for private use. The spot is quiet and full of trees. Thanks to two natural water springs it is still possible to find evocative corners like the ancient irrigation pools (called “gebbie” in Sicilian), populated by frogs, dragonflies and water lilies and where numerous birds – some of them rare – come to drink and where, sometimes at sunset, one can spot the wary fox. Bird watching is strongly recommended and one can enjoy many different walks to observe the particularly rich natural surroundings. |

The
swimming pool, open from June to October, is rectangular and of a deep
green colour, so that it is well integrated with the surrounding countryside.
It is a particular swimming pool, as it provides a U.V.A. sterilisation
system (still very rare in Italy). This means that one can sit in the
water for as long as one likes, without having to worry about the unhealthy
effects of chlorine on the skin and on the mucous membranes. Paved areas
for sunbathing, shaded spots and all the necessary equipment, together
with showers, changing rooms and toilets, surround the swimming pool. |

Leave the motorway A19 at the exit of “Buonfornello” and take the SS. 113 towards Cefalů. After 4 km, between km 201 and 202, turn right towards the junction “Campofelice di Roccella” and, immediately to the right, follow the signpost “Agriturismo” driving on of 1,5 km until you reach an underpass. After the latter drive for a further 1,8 km until you reach a green gate on the left that gives access to our property. |

SIGHTSEEING AROUND US: · Cefalů with its Norman Cathedral and the very deep blue see. · The ruins of Himera, an ancient Punic town with an archaeological zone and a museum. · Directly behind us is the Parco delle Madonie, ideal for discovering the culture of the small villages and for walks in the beech woods up in the mountain. · The 14th Century Torre Roccella with the ruins of the Arabic small fort. · For the mushroom lovers the woods in Castelbuono. |

The GUARNERA Farm Holiday is open all year round and can sleep up to 14 people. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. It is possible to have seminars and small groups conferences: for the social activities we offer ample and shaded open air space during the summer, and a very large room with fireplace during the winter. We also offer either half or full board. The kitchen uses organic products and is particularly keen towards healthy and natural food. |
As the area is not well served by public transport, a private car is necessary and easily rentable.
The
prices in Euro are per person / per night included breakfast.
A minimum stay of four nights is required in high season (two nights in the
other periods).
One can have either lunch or dinner for an extra 20 euro per person.
Stays for 1 person: a two-persons price is required.
An advance of 20% should be paid at the reservation time. The balance
will be paid at the arriving.

Half-pension is provided for an extra cost of 25 Euro/day/person.
An overcharge of 30 Euros will be applied for arrivals after 20.00h
A private kitchen is available at the extra cost of 20 Euro/night.
