B&B SUL GOLFO in Mondello - breakfast in front of the sea
With an enviable panoramic position on the bay of Mondello (the picture on the left is taken from the house), 15 minutes driving from downtown Palermo, the villa is set near by the “piazza del paese” and a few steps from the beach of the most well-known seaside of Palermo.
The wisteria covered villa of "IL GLICINE Sul Golfo" is surrounded by pines. The red tiles, the dark shutters and the terraces and porches show its Mediterranean character.
A luxuriant garden with quiet corners is at the guest’s disposal for reading or taking breakfast.
The original design of the interior is tastefully complimented by owners elegant furnishing.
There is a choice of between three types of accommodations:
A) Matrimonial Suite
It consists of one elegantly furnished bedroom equipped with cable TV; one living room with desk, small sofa, electric kettle, minibar and large closets. The bedroom opens onto a lovely terrace overgrown with wisteria which bursts into blooming clusters in spring.
Minimum stay three nights.
An advance of 20% should be paid at the reservation time. The balance will be paid at the arriving.
B) Matrimonial Room
A little smaller than the previous one, it is also very tastefully furnished. It comes with a closet, a chest of drawers, a small sofa and a TV. The private bathroom is accessible through the corridor. Tenants may also enjoy a small part of the garden.
Minimum stay three nights.
An advance of 20% should be paid at the reservation time. The balance will be paid at the arriving.
C) Independent apartment with garden (up to 4 persons)
It is a vast loft-style open space, divided by the furniture. It includes : one double bedroom area; one living room area with comfortable couches, desk and bookcase; a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, fridge and a table; a bathroom with shower; and another double bedroom area with a sofa bed. Part of the garden is reserved to the apartment.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
An advance of 20% should be paid at the reservation time. The balance will be paid at the arriving.
The town of Palermo will require a few days to visit its fascinating historical centre (one of the biggest in Europe) the many churches, the palazzos and the picturesque markets.
Day-trips from Palermo can be arranged to visit Monreale, Segesta, Cefalù, Trapani, Erice, Agrigento, San Vito Lo Capo (see our property IL GLICINE S. Vito).
Palermo’s historic centre is 15 minutes away by car; the area is well served by public transportation; the airport is 20 km away.

Two cats live in the house while two nice and friendly dogs watch the garden.
French, English, and Spanish are spoken.
You can have, on request, the transfer to or from the airport (35 Euro).

How to get there
From Punta Raisi airport take the motorway for Palermo and than take the exit Mondello-Sferracavallo after 10 km approx. Follow the road to Mondello passing through three round-abouts. After the third round-about continue straight on for 2 Kms. and, arriving at the second traffic lights, turn left. After another 2 Km. you reach another round-about with tall palm trees; continue towards Mondello following the road by the sea as far as a building on the sea (Lo Stabilimento). Here you should call the person dealing with your check-in who will arrive after a few minutes. The B&B is about 3 minutes drive fromthis meeting-place.
Prices
Prices are in Euro, apply to ONE PERSON and ONE NIGHT and include breakfast.
A minimum stay of three nights is required.
